08-14-22 Wonderland Trail:
Wow, what a beautiful night last night. After the night potty run, I took some night shots of Rainier and the twinkling stars.

Boy, that steep nasty hill climb yesterday seemed to have wore me out. My legs were tired today so was thankful we had a short day and spent a large part of late morning and early afternoon at St Andrews Lake. Rinsed out some clothes and body. Lots of mosquitoes tried to make a meal out of us but covering up and headnets helped a bunch.

It was a long downhill to South Puyallup Camp and partway down I got tangled up in a curvy stick and crashed hard, almost taking Jayne out in the process. A little blood here and there but rinsing off and splashing hydrogen peroxide on affected areas and then slapping a fat band aide on the worst part worked well. Yes, I carry a tiny bottle of hydrogen peroxide with me as I always seem to draw blood on hiking adventures. Arrived at camp, found Jay and Karen, set up tents and then discovered the sign that said the toilet was 600 feet away. And all downhill! What the heck...
